All timber buildings are made to order so you get to choose door and window positioning along with style of roof weather it be an apex or pent style.

Framing

ex 3″x 1½” Redwood Tanalised, Making a Very Strong More Than Substantiol frame construction.

ex 4”x1½” Framing is used when the buildings get upto 16′ long and over.

All Framing screwed together using high strength construction screws, not gun nailed.

Floor

ex 125mm x 19mm Redwood Tanalised TGV Floor Boards onto 3″x 1½” Redwood Tanalised Joists onto 3″x 1½” Redwood Tanalised Floor Bearers Making a Very Strong Rigid Floor.

Option to upgrade to ex 125mm x 25mm Redwood Vac Vac Treated Flooring finished with three coats of Osmo floor oil

Walls

Our own pattern ex 100mm x 25mm (planed to 20mm thick) Redwood Log Clad with a 10mm tongue & groove giving extra weather protection to housing spec! All External Timber Nailed with Stainless Steel Nails (meaning nail heads won’t go rusty & leave dark stain marks in cladding)

Glazed

4mm Clear Toughened Safety Glass. (double glazing option available)

Door

Unsorted (High Grade) Redwood Vac Vac treated Framed Ledged Braced Batten Door (a lot stronger & won’t twist or drop like most other shed doors!) Hung on Three 100mm Satin Stainless Steel Ball Bearing Butt Hinges Held Open with a Satin Chrome Cabin Hook, Security: Leading Brand Name Union 5 lever BS Mortice lock Satin Stainless Steel faced, Satin chrome Lever Scroll Handles All In All Making a Very Secure Shed for your Contents.

Standard door width is 2′ 9″. We recommend using a 2′ 6″ door if going in the 5′ side! (also the option of double doors is available)

Roof

All timber in Roof Tanalised, boarded same as Floor, Felted with Anderson heavy duty Green Mineral Felt, Sealed with Sealant on all Overlapping Joints! Felt Slates & Cedar Shingles option available but will require a steeper pitched roof! (Felt Slates Standard on the Larger Trussed Roofed Sheds) All Buildings have a roofing Underlay fitted for increased weather protection.

We also increase the pitch of the roof more than standard on the larger sheds.

Finish

All timber buildings come with two coats of oil based Sadolin preservative followed by two coats of stain with any colour of your choice using Sikkens Novatech 2 coat system for a semi-gloss finish.

Sikkens Features:

  • Highly durable
  • Excellent absorption into the surface
  • Highly translucent to bring out the beauty of the wood grain
  • One coat maintenance.

Opaque option is available using Dulux Ultimate Opaque (giving a 10 year re-coat) at an additional cost

Additional

You can also add a workbench, shelves or fit guttering to your garden shed.

Having ordered a timber built garage from Hesket Timber Buildings we found the quality of the materials to be of a high standard as promised, Martins attention to detail in the construction and finish of the building was second to none.

Our only concern was would it survive the very high winds we experience living on the top of a hill in rural Dumrfies & Galloway. I can now say having recently had a 3 day period of high winds gusting in excess of 94mph +,we found the garages “belt and braces” construction to be more than adequate for the wind speeds experienced.
